ABB completes Alfa Laval Automation purchase

ABB Industrial Systems announced Aug. 1 that it completed acquistion of the Automation Unit of Alfa Laval of Sweden for an undisclosed amount. The companies announced the deal June 17 ( Control Engineering , July ’98, p. 2). The move gives ABB additional solutions in supervisory control and data acquisition, distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, instrumentation, warehouse management and batch applications in food, beverage and pharmacuetical industries.
