Advantech, Invensys partner to provide Wonderware Windows CE HMIs
Advantech is providing compact form factor Windows CE devices certified through the Powered By Wonderware program.
The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech and Invensys Operations Management announced their partnership in developing the Wonderware InTouch
"The Powered by Wonderware program, in conjunction with our partners, means that our customers can now order their HMI hardware with runtime software pre-installed, directly from their vendor of choice," said Keith Jones, Invensys Operations Management marketing program manager, Wonderware HMI/SCADA products. "This offers a certified combination of InTouch Compact Edition software and vendor hardware, tested by Wonderware and ready to use out of the box."
Jones said pre-installed software saves customers time, and new bundled pricing of InTouch Compact Edition software saves money.
According to Dan Fitzpatrick, global embedded program manager, Invensys Operations Management, by partnering with Advantech and other top HMI hardware brands provides customers with the most cost-efficient version of Wonderware InTouch HMI software on a vast amount of hardware styles and ratings. Gary Frederich, Western regional sales manager for Advantech eAutomation, believes the partnership will "help Advantech and our Channel Partners increase Advantech’s solution offerings for the process end-user market and growing Windows CE based OEM HMI market."
The Advantech agreement is part of the Invensys Powered By Wonderware program, which certifies devices from various hardware vendors and delivers pre-installed images ready for use out of the box.
