Advantech opens U.S. office, changes name

Taiwan-based Advantech opened the global headquarters of its industrial automation group here on Aug. 19. The company also changed the name of its American Advantech subsidiary on Aug. 25 to Advantech Automation Corp.

"We want to be close to our customers and selected the Cincinnati area because of its proximity to the core industrial base," says K.C. Liu, Advantech’s ceo.
