Coquitlam, B.C., Canada —Tri-m Engineering’s IR 104 combines 20 optically isolated inputs and 20-high capacity relay outputs on a single, PC/104-compliant module. According to the company, the IR 104 plugged together with a PC/104 compatible CPU offers an efficient, reliable, safe, and economic alternative to older PLC-based automation of industrial monitoring and control. As a PLC replacement the IR104 provides a convenient means to control external digital devices requiring electrical isolation. It can accept either ac or dc voltage inputs, 3-24 V contacts are rated to 5 V @ 250 V dc switch ac or dc. The device decodes the I/O memory address on the ISA or PC/104 bus and is field programmable to custom address or custom I/O algorithms. Tri-M Engineering
