Series 90A annunciator from Ametek Power Instruments can be used in hazardous locations.

Rochester, NY —Series 90A annunciator from Ametek Power Instruments is now FM certified for use in hazardous locations. Device also includes new features not previously available in these areas. The instrumentation is suited for applications in petroleum, petrochemical, and other process industries.

Multiple functions of the annunciator help consolidate the amount of control room equipment required. In addition to having standard visual alarm display functions, it timestamps alarms to determine sequence of events, identifying alarm order to help establish the cause of a failure. It also connects alarms to other equipment using Modbus and DNP communications using serial or Ethernet interfaces.

Device is configured through a software tool; the system can be upgraded and capacity expanded, if needed. Super-bright long-life LEDs provide visual alarm indication. Series 90A is virtually maintenance free and performs a variety of self-diagnostics, such as serial/Ethernet communication status, lamp failure detection, ground fault detection in external wiring, and overall system status.
