Mechanicsburg, PA — InduMedical from InduKey North America claims to be the first anti-microbial industrial keyboard for use in hygiene-sensitive environments in medical, pharmaceutical, and food processing applications. Device features Microban active protection against bacteria, yeast, mold, mildew, and fungi that cause stain, odors, and product degradation.

Keyboard has an antimicrobial design foil for data entry that includes a specially treated front cover that actively protects against most common bacteria, molds, and fungi. InduMedical uses Omron mechanical switches for tactile feedback and comfortable operation. Chassis is an insulated housing that provides robustness and stability. Keyboard is protected against dust, dirt, grease, and is splash-proof to IP65/NEMA4X. Surface can be completely cleaned and disinfected. The keyboard comes in a compact version and with an integrated touchpad. PS/2 and USB interfaces are available.
