APACS+ receives major upgrade

Spring House, Pa. -Siemens Moore’s APACS+ process automation system version R4 includes an open application server that allows users to embed in the control system advanced control applications, including third party applications. Batch enhancements include graphical creation of batch reports using Batch Report Writer; help in meeting regulatory compliance using Batch History archive and restore utilities; and modeling and automating production processes without writing a single line of code using Batch Manager. Solving control problems requiring a combination of regulatory control and discrete logic is achieved using the Advanced Controller capability and Control Simulator allows control solution testing without controller hardware.
