Milwaukee, WI— To complement its line of electromechanical pressure and temperature switches, Rockwell Automation announced at Automation Fair 2003 the upcoming release of its new line of solid-state condition sensors, Bulletin 836E pressure, 837E temperature, and 839E flow switches. Intended for use in tough industrial applications, all models are designed in robust 304 stainless steel housings with 316 stainless steel sensing elements and four-digit LCD displays.

The full range of pressure sensors is suitable for reading pressures from vacuum to 5,800 psi; the flow switch reads liquids from zero to 300 cm/s (590 ft/min) and gases from zero to 3,000 cm/s (5,905 ft/min); and the single temperature model covers a wide range from -50 °C to 150 °C (-58 °F to 302 °F). Each has dual switching PNP outputs and programmable set points that are easily configured via built-in programming buttons or Windows-based configuration software supplied with each unit.
