Baumer Electric unveils laser, line scan sensors

Chicago, Ill -Baumer Electric (Southington, Conn.) showed off the PosCon ZADM22 pocket-sized retro-reflective line scan sensor at National Manufacturing Week March 5. PosCon offers 30, 150, 350mm standard measuring ranges. Width, edge, or center position targets are programmed using teach-in buttons. Outputs can be analog 4 – 20 mA, digital, or serial. Said to be the smallest available laser sensor of its kind, the two-component through-beam OSDK/OEDK 10 features pulsed Class 2 laser diode emitter and matching receiver in housings the size of sugar cubes. The products feature range of up to eight meters and a response time of 0.2 microseconds.
