Beckhoff introduces line of panel PCs

Line of control panel LCD monitors from Beckhoff Automation now comes with four types of integrated PCs to create a variety of panel PCs. Monitors range in screen size from 6.5 in to 20 in. Control panel, which makes up the operator interface, has options for a full-membrane keyboard, function keys, disk drives, mouse ports, touch screen, and more. PCs are scaleable in size and functionality from a miniature CX 1000 to a full-size ATX motherboard CP6500.

Types include:

• CX1000, which can be used as an all-in-one motion, PLC, and HMI controller running Microsoft Windows CE or embedded XP.

• CP6300, which has a single board computer capable of operating a PIII 850 MHz Intel processor with one available ISA/PCI slot, 128 MB upgradeable SDRAM, and onboard Ethernet.

• CP6400, which has all the capabilities of the CP6300 with more available slots.

• CP6500, which has a full-size socket 370 ATX motherboard and the most available slots, including an option for the company’s latest high-performance socket 478 motherboard.

Coupled with Beckhoff’s TwinCAT software, Fieldbus cards, and I/O, any of the Panel PCs can become a complete motion, HMI, and PLC control package.
