Houston, Tex. – Bentley Systems Inc. announced January 28, 2002 a new subscription program for its integrated suite of PlantSpace plant design software.

The Plant Portfolio license program offers organizations of all sizes a convenient and cost-effective way to acquire Bentley’s suite of integrated plant design applications on a monthly or annual subscription.

‘For the V8 Generation, Bentley has combined applications typically used together in engineering design projects to simplify procurement,’ says Greg Bentley, ceo. ‘With a Portfolio License, users are able to use the best plant design applications for maximum productivity and richest content, and do not have to purchase perpetual licenses for any of them. Bentley’s monthly and annual subscription fees are particularly advantageous and include support, upgrades & updates and all other Bentley Select benefits.’

Based on MicroStation, Bentley’s integrated process and power plant design suite, Bentley Plant Portfolio supports front-end engineering and design (FEED), construction, operations and maintenance tasks throughout the plant life cycle.

The Bentley Plant Portfolio combines integrated applications corresponding to the engineering tasks in the design workflow. Modules include Piping, Equipment Modeling, Structural Modeling, HVAC Modeling, Electrical Raceway, Isometric Extraction, Interference Checking, and 3D Visualization.

Plant Portfolio licenses are available globally, allowing users worldwide ’24-hour engineering’ as well as consistent deployment and support of Bentley plant design software across the enterprise. The Plant Portfolio is priced at US$575 per month without MicroStation; US$725 per month with MicroStation. The annual subscription rate is US$4,800 without MicroStation and must be prepaid. With MicroStation, the annual subscription rate is US$6,000. Plant Portfolio applications will be available for MicroStation V8 by the end of the first quarter of 2002.

Plant Portfolio is integrated with Bentley solutions that create, manage, and publish engineering content critical to design, construction, operation and maintenance of engineering assets around the world.

Bentley’s Professional Services organization is dedicated to optimizing and supporting plant engineering design environments worldwide. With the know – how that only comes from years of practical experience in the plant and process industry, Bentley Consulting team members – located around the globe-work with users to determine best practice standards and assist in implementing a plan to guide their people, methods and technology.
