San Jose, Calif.— OEMs will find VSAC 1000-115S250 and VSAC 1000DC-48S75 control boards an attractively priced option for adding variable speed control to fractional horsepower ac motors. Control logic, proprietary RISC microcontroller, high voltage semiconductors, gate drive circuitry, power supply, overcurrent detection, DC bus capacitor, and mechanical interface all fit on a 3 x 4.25 x 2-in. board weighing less than 3 oz. VSAC 1000-115S250 operates at 115 V ac with input current of 5 A and output power of 250 W. VSAC 1000DC-48S75 accepts 10 to 48 V dc delivering up to 75 W. The controller uses PWM technology allowing speed control from 1 to 120 Hz. Volts/Hertz ratio is customizable in software. Anacon Systems
