Brand protection: National Semiconductor test-drives a solution for guarding intellectual property

New Momentum , a provider of supply chain risk management (SCRM) software for companies National Semiconductor will evaluate New Momentum’s Brand/Intellectual Property protection software.
National Semiconductor is the sixth company to begin the evaluation phase of New Momentum’s Brand Protection software since its release just two weeks ago, according to Stu Clifton, New Momentum’s CEO.
New Momentum typically allows potential customers to evaluate its software for 30 days before finalizing a purchase.
“Protecting your brand and intellectual property translates into protecting your revenue stream,” Clifton says. “Both Tier 1 and midsize companies are suffering significant losses from counterfeits and gray market activity. This growing problem directly impacts their bottom line, distribution channel, reputation, and their ability to comply with federal regulations.

Clifton says the New Momentum software taps into information sources previously out of reach by traditional search methods, eliminating the significant amount of time and resources required for conducting manual searches.
“We deliver this information in an easy-to-use dashboard that increases the scope and quantity of activity that can be monitored,” Clifton says.
