Dillsburg, Pa. —Intended for large size control room displays, DLV1280 projector uses Reflective Digital Light Valve technology to give 1,280 x 1,024 pixel resolution with three times the brightness of a CRT projector. DLV1280 solves the problem of “pixilation” (a black border around each pixel) and light losses. The projector features xenon lamps, and a system for color and brightness matching of multiple screens. The screen controller shows video, computer-generated graphics, or system/on-line diagrams across as many as 84 screens. The high resolution means larger screens are possible reducing the number of projectors required. The improved clarity improves the environment for the dispatcher.
