Brushless motors and controls feature adjustable speed

The company says these motors and controls promise less maintenance, quieter operation, higher torques, and more efficiency in smaller packages that competing products.

Fort Smith, AK Baldor Electric Co. announced a new series of brushless adjustable speed controls and servo motors designed to provide customers the advantages and benefits of brushless technology for adjustable speed applications. The company says these motors and controls promise less maintenance, quieter operation, higher torques, and more efficiency in smaller packages than competing products.
The company says these products are aimed at customers wishing to upgrade to this brushless technology for conveyors, mixers, door openers, material handling, packaging and many other general-purpose industrial applications which utilize adjustable speed. In addition, customers will be able to design these new products into new OEM equipment.
The new BMC control series includes models from 1/4 through 3 hp. The BSM25 and BSM33 brushless dc motors are available with NEMA mountings from 1/4 through 3 hp at 1,800 rpm. These brushless adjustable speed controls and motors are described, along with technical information, in the company’s flyer FL1210.
