Series-40 butterfly valves from Bray Controls have blow-out-proof stems.

Houston, TX —Blow-out-proof stem is now incorporated into Bray Controls ’ high-performance, Series-40 butterfly valves. New stem will become standard on all Series 40 valves, the company reports; Series 40 complies with the latest edition of API 609 code for high-performance butterfly valves.

Design is said to offer rugged reliability and easy field maintenance. Available in wafer- and lug-style bodies, the valves offer bi-directional sealing to full ANSI Class 150, 300, or 600 ratings. Fire-safe models conform to API 607 and offer control of flammable and hazardous fluids in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, and other high-risk applications. Carbon- or stainless-steel body materials resist corrosion. A high-strength, 17-4 PH stainless-steel valve-stem is standard. Actuator mounting flange and stem connection are designed to ISO 5211 for direct mounting to actuators.
