Canned-rotor resolver

Canned-rotor magnetic resolver eliminates the shaft seal for rotary feedback sensors in hydraulic actuators. Resolver design permits the rotor to operate directly in hydraulic fluid or in liquid hydrogen. Resolver operates at pressures up to 3,000 psi, speeds up to 10,000 rpm and temperatures from -25 to 220 °C. This rotary transducer transmits absolute position information from rotating parts inside the sealed container without the need for a shaft seal. Initially designed for aerospace use, the device can also be used in automotive and other industrial applications where shaftless resolver sealing is required.
