Amstelveen, Netherlands; Campbell, Calif. CMG, a management and technology consulting provider, and Camstar , a provider of manufacturing execution solutions, announced Nov. 19 that they’ve formed a partnership to deliver integrated collaborative manufacturing execution systems (MESs). CMG will become a European integration partner for Camstar’s solutions, and will work with Camstar to deliver the company’s Virtual Factory(TM) solutions to European and Middle Eastern manufacturers.

Camstar and CMG have worked closely for several years to develop and implement solutions for European customers, particularly on a recent global implementation of Camstar’s InSiteLive solution for Phillips Electronics. Their combined expertise is expected to allow customers to quickly assess problems in their manufacturing environments and implement solutions.

‘CMG has a deep and varied background in determining how MES solutions best enable businesses to become more efficient and create greater value,’ says Peter Derks, CMG’s associate director. ‘Because we work with clients in diverse manufacturing environments, we’re constantly looking for scalable and flexible solutions that can also handle the increasingly difficult challenges found in new technology arenas. With its web-based architecture and factory-proven reliability, Camstar’s Virtual Factory technology offers the premier solution for our clients.’

Camstar’s recently unveiled Virtual Factory Suite is a collection of solutions that enable Live Everywhere Manufacturing for global production environments. Virtual Factory helps companies control inventory, make changes to customer orders, manage capacity, and improve yields across their distributed supply chains by establishing a collaborative information infrastructure across the enterprise.

Virtual Factory also complements Camstar’s InSiteLive MES, which functions as a plant’s ‘central nervous system.’ InSiteLive manages real-time production information and processes and enables manufacturers to transform operations to meet business demands. Combining InSiteLive with the Virtual Factory allows individual plant autonomy while simultaneously delivering a powerful enterprise-level solution.
