Coming soon: HART tutorial series

The HART Communication Foundation (HCF) reports that the installed base of HART-enabled devices is the largest of all industrial communication protocols at more than 14 million worldwide, and 70% of all smart instruments installed each year use HART Communication. However, HCF says most users are unaware of its many benefits.

Consequently, Control Engineering is partnering with HCF to present a series of tutorial articles, scheduled to debut in July 2005. The series will include: HART—what is it and how it works; how to use HART data and benefit from real-time integration with control, safety and asset management system; and how to benefit from HART technology in every phase of the plant life cycle.
