Compact 150 W ac/dc switching power supply

MicroPower Direct offers the RL9827Sx series switching power supply to provide 150 W of output power in a compact, high power density U-channel package. Features include power factor correction; auto-selectable ac inputs; overvoltage, load, and temperature protection; and safety approvals. Applications include medium-power in process control, telecommunications, industrial automation, power distribution, and other systems.

MicroPower Direct’s RL9827Sx series switching power supplies are said to have compact construction, high output power density, safety approvals, high efficiency operation, and low cost.

Six standard models operate from auto-selectable inputs of 90-132 V ac or 180-264 V ac; and single outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 18, 24, or 48 V dc. Standard features include power factor correction to EN61000-3-2 class “A,” tight line/load regulation of 1.0% max., input/output isolation of 3,000 V ac, a low leakage current of 3.5 mA max., 20 mS hold-up time, and efficiency to 80%. MTBF (per MIL HDBK 217F) of the RL9827Sx series is greater than 1,000,000 hr. They are certified to CE and approved to UL60950, CSA C22.2 no. 60950, and TUV EN60950. All models meet CISPR 22/EN55022 class “B;” EN61000-3-2/3, EN61000-4-2/3/4/5/6/8/11; and EN55024 EMC standards. The family is packaged in a 5.0 x 3.2 x 1.5 in. U-channel case. Connections are made to easily accessible Molex connectors. Each model is specified for operation over the operating temperature range of 0-50 °C (ambient) with 16 CFM forced air (100 W continuous is allowed with convection cooling).
