CV10 drive comes with CE, cUL, and CSA approvals. A two-year warranty backs this “heavy-duty”-rated drive.
Small physical size is no indication of the performance available from a new ac motor drive from Saftronics Inc . Designed for easy programming and fast installation, CV10 AC Drive includes built-in PLC functions, provides a wide range of speed control, and covers the 0.5-15 hp range at 230 and 460 V input. CV10 drives have some of the smallest enclosures in the industry, says Saftronics. The small package provides sensorless vector control and 18 predefined Volts/Hertz control patterns to allow optimizing application requirements.
Expanded features of the drive include optional LCD keypad that supports five languages, an RS-232 port for PC communications of the Microsoft Windows-based software, and a variety of PLC functions, such as timers, counters, comparators, and fault history. CV10’s communication and performance options include autotuning for optimal motor performance. Serial Modbus RTU and PID control are standard, while Profibus, DeviceNet, and EtherNet/IP communications are available options.
New CV10 Saflink 2005 software eases programming of the drive’s PLC functions. Numerous control and protective functions can be specified to match most application needs via a user-friendly Intelligent Ladder Logic Editor. Design aids—such as graphical representation and overview of used and available function blocks, plus automatic configuration of digital I/O points—simplify the programming process. Ability to adjust PLC parameters via the drive’s keypad is referred to as a unique feature.
“Efficient use of Saflink 2005 requires no prior PLC programming experience,” according to Saftronics. A free demo version of CV10 Saflink 2005 software is available at the company’s Web site.
