Hilscher has formed an IIoT solutions marketing cooperation with middleware-vendor Cirrus Link Solutions and supervisory controls and data acquisition- (SCADA) supplier Inductive Automation to support Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions to industrial automation markets.
Phil Marshall, CEO of Hilscher North America, said, "Collectively, we can offer a unique technology combination that opens up advanced monitoring, analysis, management and maintenance benefits. Our combined resources put the big operational gains promised by IIoT within easy reach of any enterprise."
Cirrus Link Solutions’ CTO Arlen Nipper said, "With IIoT, we are witnessing the merging of operating technology (OT) and information technology (IT). This demands fast transmission of data from sensors up to high level corporate platforms and back."
Hilscher’s business development manager, Craig Lentzkow, said: "This agreement is symptomatic of a new trend in automation-no one can effectively do IIoT alone. As OT merges with information technology IT, there’s more and more call for data to be made available across the enterprise."
