Company plans electro-mechanical manufacturing expansion for early 2012
Lenze Americas plans to open a 100,000 square foot facility in Glendale Heights, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, for manufacturing operations for Lenze gearboxes, motors, and geared motors, more than doubling Lenze’s North American electro-mechanical manufacturing capacity.
In early 2012, Lenze Americas plans to open a Mechanical Product Assembly and Logistics Center in Glendale Heights, Illinois. The 100,000 square foot facility will support the Lenze electro-mechanical product manufacturing operations and bring up to 40 skilled jobs to the Chicago region.
Lenze products are used in the automotive, packaging, material handling and logistics, robotics, and commercial equipment industries. The complete line features ultra-efficient inverters, sophisticated servo automation systems, and robustly engineered gear motors and mechanical components. The relocation to the Chicago area will include all aspects of manufacturing operations for Lenze gearboxes, motors, and geared motors.
The Mechanical Product Assembly and Logistics Center will more than double Lenze’s North American electro-mechanical manufacturing capacity. Lenze selected local contractors to oversee the multi-million dollar Glendale Heights building retrofit. The industrial building renovations include an extensive office build-out for the Lenze sales and customer service teams. A state-of-the-art $1.2 million automated paint assembly line, powered by Lenze motors and gearboxes, will reduce painting time and expedite shipment of assembled products.
