Lemo updated its N Series Connectors with new shell styles and features to enhance the 5N size. The company says the products include customer-requested improvements for robotics and nuclear applications. For small, low-power robotic applications, the N Series offers a special lever to reduce the mating force of connections made by the robot/telemanipulator.
New 5N features include wider grip areas, 90-degree shells, and, where there are many connections, a new Lemo-patented key system that allows the user to configure 32 combinations. These and other features make remote connections easier with no-turn push-pull connections, reduce operator stress with visually assured connection, and reduce inventory. Many sizes, shell styles, and pin types are available, along with various evaluation samples.
