Continuous weighing is universal with new belt scale

In-line weighing of aggregates, sand, minerals, or other products passing along a conveyor isn't easy to do effectively at a reasonable cost, but Milltronics reports its Universal Scale (MUS) solves this problem. MUS eliminates cross bridges, which allows the scale to be universally fitted to all conveyor widths, without build up areas.

Worcester, U.K. — In-line weighing of aggregates, sand, minerals, or other products passing along a conveyor isn’t easy to do effectively at a reasonable cost, but Milltronics reports its Universal Scale (MUS) solves this problem. MUS eliminates cross bridges, which allows the scale to be universally fitted to all conveyor widths, without build up areas. The weigh-frame has no moving parts, so all it’s likely to need is a periodic calibration check. For added accuracy and reliability, MUS uses an Accumass integrator. It displays data on flow rate, total weight, belt load, and bulk solid speed. It can also be programmed to download this information using Milltronics’ Dolphin package.
