Oak Brook, IL – Impress your peers, your boss, and the industry with your control panel design prowess—or simply have fun making a video highlighting your engineering creativity for all to see.
To enter the control panel design video contest, all you have to do is submit a video (5 minutes or less) by March 16 demonstrating some of the following points:
–Exhibit the thought process for determining the layout of components, both interior and exterior;
– Exhibit component mounting techniques;
– Exhibit wire and cable termination techniques;
–Explain how consistency is maintained from one person to another in component mounting and wiring practices (for example, operator device orientation and wire termination);
–Exhibit an example of door work (mounting, labeling & wiring of devices on an enclosure door, or other exterior surfaces);
–Exhibit methods for insertion of completed panels into enclosures;
–Explain or exhibit methods for maintaining cleanliness and protection of the enclosure and components;
–Explain testing procedures;
–OPTIONAL: One unique feature or method of your choice. Deadline for submissions is March 16, 2009. Voting will be open to all visitors to the controleng.com site starting March 17, 2009 and ending April 1, 2009.
