  • An incorrect report on FactoryLink ECS 6.5 from USDATA (Richardson, Tex.) in Control Engineering , Sept. 1998, Product Focus, p.197, actually described the firm’s Xfactory product, which is built on Microsoft Windows DNA and object technology. FactoryLink 6.5 is an OPC server able to collect and distribute data throughout a multi-vendor manufacturing environment, which makes it more than an HMI with database connectivity and interface to MES and ERP products.

  • Control Engineering ‘s batch control survey, Nov. 1998, p. 75, incorrectly identified one of the survey’s two co-sponsors. The actual co-sponsor was Rockwell Software (West Allis, Wis.).
