Curtiss-Wright acquires Novatronics

To enhance its market and technology positions in aerospace sensors, Curtiss-Wright Corp. has acquired Novatronics Inc. for approximately $13.5 million. Novatronics will operate as a business unit of Curtiss-Wright’s subsidiary, Curtiss-Wright Controls Inc.

Novatronics designs and manufactures electric motors and linear and rotary position sensors for the commercial aerospace, military aerospace, and industrial markets. The company has annual sales of approximately $12 million, and employs about 145 people at its two locations in Stratford, Ontario, Canada, and Plainview, NY.
