Danish slaughterhouse using ABB’s IndustrialIT Enterprise Historian

Wickliffe, O— One of the world’s largest food companies, Danish Crown (Horsens, Denmark), recently selected ABB ‘s IndustrialITEnterprise Historian to ensure that Danish Crown’s employees have the right information in the right place at the right time.

‘Besides providing functions that optimize and plan production, IndustrialITgives Danish Crown a high level of traceability of goods throughout the entire production process,’ says Elo Bromer, Danish Crown’s information technology manager.

Danish Crown also plans to use IndustrialITEnterprise Historian to help control production when its newest plant begins operating at the end of 2004. The new facility is expected to be the world’s most advanced slaughterhouse, with approximately 1,400 employees and the capacity to process 75,000 pigs per week.
