DAQ system targets high performance applications
Tucson, Ariz. — The isoLynx SLX100 data acquisition system is comprised of a 12-channel base system that includes an I/O controller module and optional 8- or 16-channel expansion backplanes, all of which can be panel- or DIN-rail-mounted. The system accepts single-channel digital or analog I/O modules, and all I/O modules are channel-to-channel isolated.
Tucson, Ariz. – The isoLynx SLX100 data acquisition system is comprised of a 12-channel base system that includes an I/O controller module and optional 8- or 16-channel expansion backplanes, all of which can be panel- or DIN-rail-mounted. The system accepts single-channel digital or analog I/O modules, and all I/O modules are channel-to-channel isolated. The highly modular design and ability of all wiring to remain connected to the system when accessing I/O modules is said to provide excellent field serviceability and upgradability.
By selecting from over 100 single-channel SCM5B analog I/O modules, virtually any industrial signal can be interfaced to the isoLynx. The modules offerin gage, ac to true rms output, frequency, two-wire transmitter, and transducers requiring dc excitation.
Other key specifications include 16-bit resolution analog input/output, a 35 kHz conversion rate, 4,000 V dc channel-to-channel and channel-to-bus digital I/O isolation, and fully protected analog inputs with continuous protection against overvoltage up to 240 V ac sustained. The isoLynx communicates on RS-232/485 serial links up to 115.2 kbit/sec or 10Base-T Ethernet with TCP/IP protocol. Future capabilities include fieldbus protocols such as Profibus, DeviceNet, and Modbus.
The isoLynx SLX100 is designed for applications in the laboratory, research and development test and measurement, data acquisition and control in industrial process and the factory floor, or in machine monitoring. www.dataforth.com Dataforth Corp.
