Rogers, Ark. – Delta Systems Inc. , an automation and motion control company, announced Jan. 16 that it has appointed Jake M. Bushey as president and chief operating officer, and that it also appointed William E. Salley as chief technology officer (cto).
Mr. Bushey previously served as Delta’s executive vp and cfo, and most recently acted as president of Delta Automation Solutions Inc. Mr. Bushey has experience in a variety of financial and operational roles, is an Oregon State University graduate, and is a certified public accountant.
Mr. Salley, one of Delta’s founders, was previously president of Delta Software Inc. He will retain responsibility for Delta’s technological direction in his new position as cto. Also, Mr. Salley will continue to serve one of Delta’s directors.
‘Since Jake Bushey joined Delta in July 1999, the company has benefited tremendously from his strong leadership, high energy level and solid operational capability. On behalf of the board of directors of the company, we congratulate Jake on his promotion, and look forward to him bringing these qualities to his new position as president and coo,’ says Gerald S. Hurlow, Delta’s chairman and ceo. ‘We are also very excited about Will Salley’s new role. In the past, Will has undertaken general management responsibilities, while also leading the development of our key technologies. The appointment of Jake Bushey as president and coo will allow Will to now focus primarily on the development of SoftFlow, while continuing to work with key customers on large application projects. We expect that this will enable Delta to accelerate the development of its technology, as well as ensuring that technologically intensive customer projects are successfully implemented.
‘With these management changes, which include the recent promotion of Gayla O’Brien to her new responsibilities as director of finance and controller, Delta is well positioned for successful execution of our operational and financial objectives in fiscal 2002.’
