Desktop process analysis; Experion upgrade
Honeywell has announced Uniformance Process Studio, a desktop software package that allows plant engineers to analyze process performance. A user-friendly interface includes workflow management applications that help engineers build trend graphs and graphics with minimal training or manual configuration. The software is designed for use with Honeywell’s Uniformance PHD, which gathers data from plant equipment and instrumentation in the event of a plant upset. A variety of trend styles, including single scales, XY correlations and histograms, are available. Graphics are based on Honeywell’s HMIWeb technology, so graphics used in Experion can be replicated in Uniformance Process Studio.
Honeywell also released an enhanced version of Experion Process Knowledge System (PKS) process control software, which includes embedded simulation capabilities for operator training and control, display, and procedure validation. The new version introduces integrated batch functionality for chemical and life sciences companies. Through integration with Honeywell’s Safety Manager platform, Experion also provides safety, fire and gas information directly to operators using a common display. This provides plantwide SIS point data, diagnostics, and system information, plus alarms and events, operator displays, and sequence-of-event information. www.honeywell.com/ps Honeywell Process Solutions
