DeviceNet Detective is ready for handheld network diagnostics

Downers Grove, Ill.- DeviceNet Detective network configuration and diagnostic tool claims to offer speed and ease of use compared to other options, according to Synergetic Micro Systems. A 2 x 3 in. LCD offers diagnostic and configuration information, including a new ‘Snoop Mode,’ which lists all network devices and attributes. It also delivers voltage, errors, logging, traffic load, node object data, and ‘help’ functions. Instant ‘on’ delivers answers faster than PC-based solutions. It meets IP65/NEMA 12 specifications and includes three kinds of cables and carrying case. FactoryComm LLC intends a family of FactoryComm Tools for industrial network support, offered through Synergetic. The product was demonstrated at National Manufacturing Week, March 13-16, 2000, in Chicago.
