Digi International to acquire NetSilicon

Digi International Inc. and NetSilicon Inc. announced Oct. 30 that they have entered into a merger agreement in which Digi will acquire NetSilicon in a transaction of approximately $50 million. The transaction is expected to be accretive to Digi’s earnings in fiscal 2003 and will produce a combined company with approximately $164 million in revenue for 12 months ended June 30. The Boards of Directors of both companies have approved the transaction, which is expected to close during 1Q02.
