Sequestr external disconnect enclosure from Hoffman is intended to help manufacturers comply with National Fire Protection Association regulations by isolating the fused disconnect switch or circuit breaker from the main control panel while maintaining door interlocking requirements of principal electrical standards for industrial machinery (NFPA 79, IEC 60204, and SAE HS1738). Isolating the switch ensures that live power is no longer present in the main control enclosure when power is turned off at the switch. This action lets technicians work inside the enclosure without the need for personal protective equipment once they have verified that power is not present on the load side of the switch. When power is on at the disconnect, Sequestr’s door cannot be opened, and the interlock prevents the main control enclosure door from being opened. Product is available as an OEM package for new systems or as a retrofit kit for upgrades.
