Eaton acquires Electrum Group

Eaton Corp. has acquired Electrum Group Ltd., a New Jersey-based provider of power management services and Web-based software for telecommunications, data center and government applications. Electrum had revenues of about $3.5 million in 2003. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Eaton Corp. has acquired Electrum Group Ltd., a New Jersey-based provider of power management services and Web-based software for telecommunications, data center and government applications. Electrum had revenues of about $3.5 million in 2003. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Electrum delivers custom solutions via Electrum-OnLine, which is a suite of Web-based, customizable applications that serve as a centralized database for all site survey, asset management, preventive maintenance, alarming, remote monitoring, project management and power engineering information and data. Electrum is based in Woodbridge, NJ, and has a service center in Eldersburg, MD. All of Electrum’s employees will become part of Eaton’s global services organization.
