Circuit and surge protection has become increasingly complex, requiring an increased knowledge on proper product selection. The resources, Eaton’s Fuse and Surge Protection Device (SPD) selector tools, were developed to help customers cross reference popular solutions in order to pick the best option for their application.
For fuses, the online selector aids users in the selection of Bussmann series branch circuit, supplemental and photovoltaic (low voltage fuse) and medium voltage fuses (medium voltage fuse). The user can then select from the available attributes to find a fuse(s) that meets the application’s criteria. Search results can be narrowed by selecting multiple attributes. Displayed results contain links to website pages that provided additional information.
For SPDs, users can sort by application, including construction, control panel or communication. Basic characteristics can then be chosen to narrow down the search to particular enclosure types, system configurations, operating voltages, short-circuit current rating and more.
