SurgePOD Heavy Duty Type 1 surge protective devices (SPDs) feature new patented Bussmann SurgePOD module technology. Ideal for a wide range of applications, the SurgePOD Heavy Duty is UL 1449 3rd Edition Listed for easy specification and installation on the loadside or lineside of the service entrance overcurrent protective device. It features a compact, UV resistant NEMA 4X enclosure that is easy to install and versatile for indoor or outdoor applications. Its voltage specific models allow users to precisely match and protect electrical systems and equipment better than some “one size fits all” versions on the market today.
Designed for critical commercial and industrial applications, the SurgePOD Heavy Duty utilizes patented Bussmann SurgePOD module MOV thermal disconnect technology that eliminates the need for any additional overcurrent protection. It features a nominal system voltage range of 120 to 600 Vac, with surge rating of 50 kA and a SCCR rating of 200 kA along with comprehensive five-year warranty.
Additionally SurgePOD Heavy Duty includes the easyID LED status indication allowing users to quickly and easily check the status of the device; and an IP20 finger-safe rating and more than 26 V and system specific versions to cover virtually all North American applications.
