Elbow conditions process flow

Vorel Elbow Flow Conditioner, from Vortab Co. (San Marcos, CA), isolates flow disturbances, reduces swirl, and develops a symmetrical, repeatable flow profile with minimal pressure loss at the inlet to process equipment. Vortab reports that compact plant designs, pumps, and valves are required to operate with inadequate length of straight-pipe runs upstream of process equipment mounting locations.

INSTRUMENTATION & PROCESS SENSORS

Vorel Elbow Flow Conditioner , from Vortab Co .

This results in swirl, cavitation, and skewed flow profiles, and prematurely wearing impellers and trim, which translates to costly downtime and maintenance costs.

Vorel is simple and cost effective. It replaces the last pipe elbow upstream of the pump or valve to create a smooth, symmetrical flow pattern at the inlet.
