EMC junction boxes

EMC boxes provide EMI/RFI shielding preventing interference from penetrating the enclosure and corrupting process control signals or disrupting instrumentation, and microprocessors.

Anoka, Minn.— Hoffman has introduced a new line of junction boxes for housing vulnerable terminal wiring or sensitive instrumentation. EMC boxes provide EMI/RFI shielding preventing interference from penetrating the enclosure and corrupting process control signals or disrupting instrumentation, and microprocessors. Sizes of the boxes range from 6-in. x 4-in. x 3-in. to 16-in. x 14-in. x 14-in. with a full-lenth hinged door and multiple external screw clamps. They are available in steel that is plated with zinc and yellow chromate which is UL Type 12 dust tight, or a stainless steel for use in a wide range of indoor-outdoor industrial environments, rated UL Type 4x.
