Uxbridge, MA – Higher power NEMA1 drives and better enclosures for inverters are among recent product introductions from
Lenze-AC Tech
.
Lenze-AC Tech SMVector NEMA1 drives now reach 30 hp.
Higher power, enhanced SMVector NEMA1 drives now reach 30 hp. The drive is suited for traditional variable frequency drive (VFD) applications and for use in environments where inverter technology was once considered too costly. Capabilities include additional programmable digital input, terminals for RS-485 communications, and an enhanced keypad.“In the past, we needed an external module for RS-485 communications,” says Steve Dextraze, VFD product manager, Lenze-AC Tech. “The
15–30 hp SMVector invertor
now has the capability to wire RS-485 right into the drive. To give users immediate access to drive operation if external control is removed, we have added a simple CTRL button for real time control of Local/Remote and Manual/Auto functions.”SMVector carries all the features required by demanding applications, including four modes of operation– V/Hz, Enhanced V/Hz, Vector Speed, and Torque – plus high starting torque, auto-tuning, advanced low-speed control and dynamic speed regulation, says Deb Kling, company marketing manager. Kling describes the SMVector as a global product, with an input voltage ranging from 120 V ac, 1-phase to600 V ac, 3-phase, and said, “Last but not least, the SMVector includes the Lenze-AC Tech Electronic Programming Module or EPM, a removable chip that is the drive’s memory and allows a customer to program multiple drives in just seconds,” she says.
Lenze-AC provides Polycarbonate Plastic NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosures for the SMVector Inverter.
In other news, the company announced Polycarbonate Plastic NEMA 4X (IP65) enclosures for the SMVector Inverter, describing it as a solution for industries such as food and beverage or chemical processing, where drives need to be protected against dust, dirt, and the effects of water and corrosion. Intended for both indoor and outdoor use; the enclosure is NEMA 4X (and IP65) rated, corrosion- and UV-resistant, and has an improved resistance to low temperature impact. The SMVector NEMA 4X models are available with universal inputs (120– 600 V ac) up to 10 hp, with plans to expand up to 30 hp.Also see:
