CIMdata, Inc. has released its 2008 PLM Vendor Forum schedule and program of international one-day events. The forum, “The Emergence of Large Enterprise Suppliers: New Opportunities for All,” brings PLM solution providers together to examine industry performance, gauge its progress, and set the vision for its future. It will provide a review of the impact of the emergence of large-scale PLM suppliers, the challenges and opportunities that market evolution creates for PLM suppliers, and a discussion of strategies.

CIMdata events for 2008 will be held in Ann Arbor, MI on March 27; Stuttgart, Germany on April 17; and Tokyo, Japan on April 23, 2008. CIMdata’s perspective on the state of the PLM market and trends will be reviewed, and the company will unveil its 2007 PLM Market Analysis, which includes statistics regarding market growth across PLM domains, industries, and regions, and the performance of leading providers.

“The increasing importance and visibility of PLM is attracting additional competition from a variety of sources, resulting in accelerated market growth and business opportunities for all suppliers participating in the PLM market,” said Ken Amann, CIMdata director of research. “The emergence of large enterprise PLM suppliers is also having an impact on companies that are deploying or planning to adopt PLM. As PLM becomes a more fundamental component of the enterprise, industrial companies are being forced to rationalize their PLM investments with other business investments.”
