Entry-level process controllers have low power consumption

Mitsubishi Electric has released two entry-level process controllers for its Q Series programmable automation controller (PAC).

Mitsubishi Electric has developed and released two new entry-level process controllers for its Q Series programmable automation controller (PAC): the Q02PHCPU and Q06PHCPU. These new controllers provide the same Function Block Diagram programming style and pre-made monitoring features as their predecessors, but on a smaller scale.

Besides its low power consumption and minimal footprint, Q Series PAC systems let a user select exactly what is needed for a configuration, including digital and analog I/O, servo motion, network connectivity, and PC/C language control. In this way, the solution not only takes up less physical space and mounting/containment material, but also provides a just-right fit to any user application, according to the company.

Separately, Mitsubishi Electric and Wonderware have introduced a series of predefined application templates that reduce development and deployment time for process solutions.
