EOTec 2104 industrial Ethernet ring switch from Weed Instrument is said to offer the performance of a managed switch with the simplicity of an unmanaged one. Switch comes pre-configured for ring redundancy, offering plug-and-play performance for quick and easy startup and commissioning. It uses self-healing ring topology and includes the port mirroring, broadcast storm protection, priority queuing features of a managed switch. Features include fast recovery time of 30 ms + 5ms/hop, real time data transfer with IEEE 802.3 Ethernet compliance, and diagnostic outputs for critical process applications. Its -40 to 86 °C operating range makes it suitable for harsh conditions.
