Round Rock, Tex. – ‘Next generation’ EO-Tec 2000 Series Fiber Optic Modems consist of Ethernet modules, Optical Engines, Electrical Interfaces, Power Supplies, and Self-Healing Ring modules, intended for factory automation and process control. These lightweight, interchangeable modules are said to take less space and power than traditional units, and easily mount onto a DIN-Rail. Communication between modules is via an integrated Bus system, without the need for external wiring. EOTec 2000 assures compatibility with all major PLC brands and offers Ethernet connectivity. The patented Self-Healing Ring provides a ‘no data loss’ media redundancy solution for highly reliable communication links.
