Fieldbus Foundation: scalable integration, process integrity, business intelligence

Austin, TX —Open scalable integration, process integrity, and business intelligence are among key topics on the Fieldbus Foundation final agenda for its 2007 General Assembly, to be held at the Houstonian Hotel in Houston, TX, on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 22-23. This annual event will feature presentations by leading technology experts and end-users.

The theme of this year’s General Assembly, “Changing the Playing Field,” reflects the Fieldbus Foundation’s emphasis on providing a total automation infrastructure management solution for industrial end-users, organizers say. The agenda for the public session on Thursday, Feb. 22, includes an infrastructure management overview by Rich Timoney of the Fieldbus Foundation, as well as presentations on open scalable integration, process integrity, business intelligence, Foundation Fieldbus at Suncor, Fieldbus for SCADA, a nuclear application, and how to be a good end-user. Later there will be a cocktail reception and silent auction open to all attendees.

The silent auction will support the James O. Gray Fieldbus Foundation Scholarship Fund. Open to all attendees, the silent auction will include bidding for items donated by Fieldbus Foundation members.
