The 4963 filler upgrade is available for a large variety of filling and packaging equipment, including machinery that puts product in bags, boxes, tubs, totes, drums, or bulk bags. Highly integrated, simple to use controls and new components are said to increase the accuracy of mechanical packaging machinery and improve operations. Upgrade process consists of removing and replacing existing mechanical counterweights and levers and replacing them with rigid, accurate flexure load-cell frames. Existing pneumatic controls are removed and replaced with electrically controlled solenoid valves and new piping. Installation of electronic filler controls reportedly makes each system complete and up to date. Filler upgrades also allow control of all filler equipment I/O provisions with no PLC required. www.thompsonscale.com ThompsonScale Co.
