Ferraz Shawmut FSPDBs (finger safe power distribution blocks)

are said to introduce a new level of safety and ease for installing power distribution blocks, avoiding electrical shock, ensuring no one touches live parts.

An IP20 level of finger safe protection, using recessed termination screws and wire openings, is achieved using the FSPDBs, eliminating the need for special covers or custom plastic sheets to protect the panels. Four FSPDBs (sizes 1 to 4) snap onto a 35 mm DIN rail for quick installation. Modular design permits forming the number of poles desired.

Multiple-pole assembly pins are available for multi-pole panel mounting. FSPDBs provide a safe, convenient way of splicing cables, splitting primary power into a variety of secondary circuits, or providing a fixed-junction tap-off point.

The blocks offer IP20 grade protection and qualify as “finger-safe” per IEC 529. Terminal screws are “captive.” Copper or aluminum connectors are available.
