Five compact units join DIN-rail power supply line

Wago Corporation added five Epsitron Compact units to its DIN-rail mount power supply line.

Five Compact units have joined the Wago Corporation DIN-rail mount Epsitron Power Supply line. Epsitron Compact complies with DIN 43880, specifying equipment dimensions for distribution and meter panels. Ranging between 30 W to 100 W, Epsitron Compact units provide 12 and 24 V dc output.

Small world, easier mounting

Epsitron Compact carries UL, provides Protection Class II, and allows a wide input range of feeds from 85 to 264 V ac. This cost-effectively permits machine operation on international supply networks without additional conversion or settings. Tolerance of supply network voltage fluctuations also increases. The design enables distributed control systems to be supplied in low-profile distribution boxes or operator panels. To support building automation, Epsitron Compact may be mounted upside-down within ceiling panels.

High load-carrying capacity

Epsitron Compact uses Constant Current Mode for switching-in loads with high inrush currents. During overload, output current is typically limited to 110% of the rated current with a simultaneously lowered output voltage. For low-OHM short-circuits, output voltage is reduced to zero and automatically reinstated upon short-circuit elimination. The units provide an LED indicator for output voltage availability and pot for output voltage adjustment.
