FlexLine Wireless radar gauge from Honeywell Process Solutions monitors tank levels and prevents hazardous plant and terminal incidents. The gauge is primarily used for inventory control and custody transfer purposes. The radar gauge establishes new levels of precision and flexibility in tank inventory management—especially when weight and measure approval is required. Accuracy is a critical issue in custody transfer: the smallest deviation in level has significant impact on the user’s revenue. Radar technology is preferred as it doesn’t have contact with the product, and is especially useful when the product is viscous or sticky like crude oils, asphalt or bitumen. FlexLine radar gauge is part the Honeywell OneWireless infrastructure universal mesh network. It can seamlessly integrate to any supervisory system such as Entis or Experion PKS. Wireless capability enables highly accurate automatic level measurements in tank farms where the necessary infrastructure is missing or only unreliable mechanical gauges are available.
